Residents Playing Parachute Game

Residents Take Part In Exercise Session

We had a fantastic afternoon on Friday where our Activities Coordinator led an exercise session with residents who gathered in a circle in our activity room.

The seated exercise session involves residents holding a section of the parachute that they lift up into the air and back down again, while small balls are moved around. The aim is to get the balls into the hole in the middle of the parachute. This is a gentle exercise that has both physical and mental benefits including improved fine motor skills, coordination and reaction times.

This seated exercise is something that will be regularly incorporated into our activities programme at our care home in Edinburgh starting next week as so much fun was had by all.

If you would like to find out more about what our residents get up to, if you have any questions regarding our care services, get in touch with a member of the team who will be happy to help you.
