We believe that the needs of our residents should be met in a variety of ways. We hope to increase overall well-being and encourage both active bodies and brains by offering the highest quality of life for each of our residents.

A Life Full of Joy and Abundance

Making choices and having an input into daily life at Struan Lodge is very important to us, which is why residents are given personal preferences of daily activities depending on mood and wellness that day. Activities are wide-ranging and span from quiet movie days to playing tabletop games such as cards and dominoes, through to enjoying delicious afternoon teas complete with home-baked treats. Our Activity Coorindor curates a thoughtful and engaging programme of day trips and things to do including Pet Therapy, Singers, Theatre trips, and Pampering sessions. Daily life at Struan Life is inclusive, varied and provides residents every opportunity to a life full of joy and abundance.

Practical & Compassionate

Our residents are encouraged to live a full and active life. Our person-centred care allows residents to participate in the activities they enjoy, free from the responsibility of medical care concerns. Not only do our first-class facilities and amenities allow our residents to continue doing the things they love, such as outdoor gardening and regular hair and manicure treatments, but they also provide opportunities to discover new talents and hobbies. Our practical and compassionate person-centred care ensures the care we offer is comprehensive and benefits residents in every way, covering medical and wellbeing needs.

Meet the Team

  • Interim Home Manager

    Tabatha Jacome-Sturge

I bring a wealth of experience to this role with a background in Health and Social Care where I gained a degree in the subject and then later returned to university and gained a degree in adult nursing. Throughout my career, I have always had a passion for the care of older people, having worked in medicine of the elderly for most of my nursing career. I am very passionate about being an advocate for older people, carrying out high standards of person-centred care, and, most importantly, ensuring that people have a good quality of life in their later years. I am committed to providing the highest levels of care, while working alongside a great team in order to achieve this.

  • Senior Care Assistant

    Angie Sinclair

I enjoy working in care and helping people. I have continued with my studies and am working my way on to provide more advanced care and nursing as a Team Leader.

  • Senior Care Assistant

    Kiera McKenzie

I enjoy helping our residents live their best lives and providing the care and attention they need at this time of their lives.

  • Administrator

    Louisa Grubb

I am the point of contact for administration in the home. I have worked in Social Care for a few years now and I like Struan Lodge as it is a very much a “home from home” environment and the smaller setting feels more personal.

  • Head Chef

    Agnes Kincses

I have worked in care since I arrived in Scotland 8 years ago and I have continued studying to become a professional chef. I am a well organised person with an eye for detail and I love working with the residents personally, being involved in the Activities and creating their favourite dishes.

  • Maintenance Manager

    Conor Mutch

I provide the Maintenance for the property and my main responsibilities are the health and safety of our residents and staff alike. I have a keen eye and attention to detail that I have gained during my years as a stonemason.

  • Activities Coordinator

    Andrew Gibson

I have worked in care for many years in different roles but I particularly enjoy my role as Activities co-ordinator. I like getting to know the resident’s likes and dislikes and providing activities and entertainment suited to them. I enjoy listening to their stories too as they have so much knowledge to share.

Comprehensive, Person-Centred Care

From the moment residents arrive at Struan Lodge Care Home, our staff goes above and beyond to ensure that their stay is welcoming and comfortable. The high-quality care we provide caters to both health and well-being needs as we believe looking after the individual as a whole is vital to ensuring the best care. Led by person-centred care, we work with residents and their loved ones. This approach to care also means we are best placed to tailor individual care plans; our dedication to a continuum of care means care plans are adaptable and change in response to a resident’s medical needs. All types of care take place in a welcoming environment and peaceful setting, designed to make everyone feel at home in their environment.
