Struan Lodge Care Home provides Dementia Care for those living with dementia. Within our care home, we foster a blended living environment where residents become one cohesive family, all while receiving top-tier intimate care. Our residents enjoy full access to outstanding facilities and our team delivers personalised care around the clock, seven days a week. With staff engagement and a limited number of residents, we prioritise one-on-one support, whether it’s addressing care needs or facilitating daily activities. Our care home is designed to provide a caring, welcoming and safe environment and our Activity Coordinators go above and beyond, collaborating with dementia residents and their loved ones to identify activities and therapies that are appropriate for their specific needs and to help them thrive. Daily activities improve social and mental stimulation and interaction, as well as relieve any frustrations and tensions associated with dementia.

What is Dementia Care?

Dementia is a condition that affects people in a variety of ways but most commonly causes memory loss, behaviour problems and speech difficulty. With the correct care and support, such as from dementia care homes and nursing homes, people living with a dementia diagnosis can continue to live their lives to the fullest, while staff helps them maintain their sense of self and independence for as long as possible.

This meeting involves our Home Manager, the prospective resident, and their loved ones, ensuring we gain a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs.
