Prioritising Resident Safety & Wellbeing
COVID-19 prevention actions are carried out to the highest standard by the staff at Struan Lodge Care Home. We are continually working to ensure that these preventative measures are implemented and that they cause minimal inconvenience to our residents’ daily life. We strive to ensure that our residents receive exemplary standards of safety and hygiene, while also ensuring that they are comfortable in their surroundings. Our caring staff is dedicated to assisting both future residents and their loved ones, as well as those who are now residing with us during these trying times.
It is important that meaningful contact is supported and maintained for residents. There are no limits on how often residents can receive visitors but it must remain safe and manageable for the care home staff and residents themselves and we ask that these are pre-booked. Anyone who visits a care home should take an LFD test, you will be asked to show proof of the recent negative LFD test before visiting. This includes family, friends, children over the age of 12 and visiting professionals. You may take the test at home before you visit or the home can help you to carry out the test when you arrive.
A Fluid Resistant Surgical Mask (FRSM) must be worn wherever possible, and Infection Prevention and Control measures should be followed as instructed by care home staff. Residents, family, and friends are able to plan outings or activities from the care home and are able to do by working together with the care home to arrange.
For prospective residents, to have a tour of the home, it is necessary for this to be pre-booked and for evidence of a negative LFT test to be presented prior to entering the home. This applies to all guests within your party. At any time, the COVID-19 regulations and guidance from the Government, National and Local Healthcare Agencies may change.
